Äthiopien : Opal aus Wello Wüste
Im Frühjahr 2008 wurde in der Provinz Welo, Äthiopien, etwa 500 km nördlich von Addis Abeba, eine neue Quelle qualitativ hochwertiger, farbenreicher Opale entdeckt. Diese Ablagerung ist geographisch abgelegen von dem Vorkommen in Mezezo in der Shewa Provinz, das im Frühjahr 1990 entdeckt wurde.
Der Opal ist berühmt durch sein Schillern. kein Edelstein zeigt solche Farbenpracht und -vielfalt wie der Opal. Die funkelnde Welt aller Edelsteine scheint hier eingefangen.
Ethiopian: Opal from Wello
A new source of high-quality play-of-color opal was discovered in early 2008 in Welo Province, Ethiopia, about 500 km north of Addis Ababa.
This deposit is geographically distinct from the Mezezo deposit in Shewa Province, which was discovered in the early 1990s. No jewel shows such color splendour and – variety like the opal. The sparkling world of all jewels seems here caught. This pictures are taken on the day light and the opal is dry.
